Welcome to Faven

Faven is an on-chain protocol for options markets. It lets participants trade options and manage positions through a wallet.

Start here

An option class defines the underlying asset, quote asset, and the asset used for physical delivery. An option series defines one contract type within that class: call or put, strike price, and expiration date. One contract represents one whole base token. For example, one SOL options contract represents 1 SOL.

Core concepts

  • A market is one deployed instance for an OracleBase / QuoteCoin / BaseCoin combination.
  • A Series holds the shared accounting and state for one option contract definition.
  • A long token is a transferable token representing a long position in an option series.
  • A SellerVault is a non-transferable record that accounts for one seller’s short position in a series.
